When we first looked at the Vauxhall XE engine we were impressed, by its strong cylinder block, Cosworth designed cylinder head and square 86 x 86mm bore to stroke ratio, this gives the engine a good strong torque curve. A development programme was set to create a range of performance kits for fast road, rally, hillclimb and race, which would give good power, torque, drivability and still maintaining reliability. |

8 H/D big end bolts, 1 Inlet manifold, 4 Carb spacers, 8 Carb rubber mounts, 8 Carb studs, 2 Webber 45 DCOE, 1 Ignition ECU and loom, 16 Competition valve springs.
225 BHP KIT
8 H/D big end bolts, 1 Inlet manifold, 4 Carb spacers, 8 Carb rubber mounts, 8 Carb studs, 2 Webber 48 DCOE, 1 Ignition ECU and loom, Ported & polished head to 225 spec, 16 tappet shims, 16 Competition valve springs, 2 Cams reprofiled, 4 Forged Pistons, 1 Lightweight steel flywheel.
